Frontnovo Notes
The reasoning, published.
Short notes on the economics and the practice behind the IQ Suite. Each one states a single claim, shows the evidence, and says plainly what it does not claim. New notes are added as they are written.
The assumptions
All models are wrong. The ten assumptions under the model, what each one buys, where it fails, and why what must be robust is the decision, not the model.
Pipeline supply
An optimum over the wrong set is still an optimum: clean, reproducible, defensible under questioning, and beside the point. The field optimized the half of the problem that would hold still.
The wrong foundation
No value units, therefore no marginal analysis, therefore no duals, therefore scoring instead of optimization. The field's weaknesses are not oversights; they are consequences of where it came from.
Distance to flip
A portfolio boundary is a zone, not a line. Ordering it by how far the world must move before a decision changes shows which commitments are settled and which are one estimating error from reversing.
Vocabulary
The terms used across the notes, each with its lineage stated: what is new, what is adapted, and what already had a name and keeps it.
